Materials and How Combs Are Made
Material and finishing decide how a comb feels in the hand and how smoothly it glides through hair.
Cellulose acetate
Cut from plant-based sheet, with teeth saw-cut and hand-polished so every tip is rounded. Patterns run through the material and never wear off.
ABS and PP plastic
Injection molded for consistent teeth and the lowest unit cost. Flash on the mold line is trimmed and polished so it does not catch hair.
Carbon fiber
Heat resistant and anti-static, the usual choice for salon cutting and styling combs.
Wood and sandalwood
Beech, bamboo, and sandalwood combs are shaped, sanded, and sealed. FSC-certified wood is available.

The standard MOQ is 500 pieces per style. Changing the color, logo, or packaging of an existing comb keeps the order at that minimum. A new comb shape needs a new mold or cutting program, which is quoted separately.
Saw-cut combs are cut from solid acetate or wood sheet and each tooth is polished, so edges are smooth and rounded. Molded combs are injection molded in one piece, which suits large volumes and lower unit prices.
Carbon fiber and some heat-resistant plastics tolerate blow dryers and styling tools better than standard ABS. Acetate and wood should be kept away from direct high heat.
Combs detangle, part, and finish, while brushes smooth and add volume. Most ranges include a wide-tooth comb for wet hair, a fine-tooth or rat-tail comb for styling, and a paddle or detangling brush.
Yes. Acetate sheets come in solid, tortoise, marble, and transparent patterns, and custom colors can be developed for larger orders. The final pattern is approved on a physical sample.
Yes. Laser engraving suits wood, bamboo, and acetate. Pad printing and hot stamping suit plastic and carbon fiber.
