COMMON MATERIAL
PP
PP material is polypropylene, PP material has very excellent chemical resistance, heat resistance, electrical insulation for hair brushes. But the process can not be added to the surface of hair brush, so the PP material will look more plastic sense. And hardness is not as good as ABS, but the price is more affordable.
ABS
ABS is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. It is a thermoplastic polymer structure material with high strength, good toughness and easy processing and molding for hair brushes.
The process can be added to the surface of hair brush. This plastic is strong, heat resistant and very malleable. Generally, this material is chosen to make combs in our factory.
PS
PS (polystyrene-based plastic), which has good light transmission and can make transparent or brightly colored combs/hair brushes.
This material is specifically used to make transparent shell of hair brushes. Of course, in our factory, we can print various patterns on the comb shell by water transfer on PS material.

PLA
PLA is not a plastic. PLA, also known as polylactic acid, is a plastic made from plant starch, which, unlike traditional plastics, is derived from renewable resources such as corn starch, which also contributes to its biodegradable properties. Most conventional plastics come from the distillation and polymerization of non-renewable oil and natural gas. Plastics derived from biomass (e.g. PLA) are called “bio-plastics”. It is a suitable eco-friendly material for making hair brushes.
Wheat Straw
The comb made from straw can be easily decomposed by microorganisms in nature, and the decomposed material is fertilizer for plants, which will not cause secondary pollution. At the same time, it makes full use of the waste straw in the farmland and reduces the pollution to the environment caused by farmers burning straw, turning waste into treasure. The disadvantage is that, combs made from this material will have pockmarks on the surface, regardless of the factory in which they are made.
Acetate
It has a natural texture, as well as gloss, toughness are particularly good, can make every hair brushes look particularly upscale at a glance. It is a natural cell membrane acetic acid, the main body of which is extracted from the fruit pulp of plants. It will be a nice choice to produce hair brushes by this material.
Wooden
Wooden combs are basically divided into 4 main categories. Wooden combs are the most typical environmentally friendly combs. In addition to this feature of being environmentally friendly, different wood combs all give a different visual and tactile sense of sophistication. The following are the 4 major categories of wood combs.

To conclude, no matter which material is chosen, it will have its special features. Just some materials are unable to do processing, like PP material. Combs made of plastic have very many advantages, but in recent years, people pay more and more attention to environmental protection, so environmentally friendly materials made of combs also need to pay attention to.
